In this class, we learned the basic concepts of digital photography and how this science and art design are combined.We learned an important  software in the first place, Photoshop. Photoshop plays an important role in the design process, such as the most basic, image processing. At the same time, I also learned about a lot of creative forms that I had never seen before, and they opened my eyes and made me look forward to the next course.

Explain why you like the designs?

1.

The main subject of this picture is a huge hourglass which holds a polar bear. The polar bear is slipping away like sand and it looks helpless and frightened. This picture conveys that due to the melting of glaciers, the habitat of polar bears is being lost, and their population is constantly decreasing. This picture makes the image of the polar bear appear vulnerable.And by creating contrasts，people can be made aware of the dangers of the greenhouse effect.

This is an IKEA pillow advertisement. I think it’s quite interesting to regard pillows as sleeping pills for treating insomnia. This design promotes the product’s uses and advantages. It leaves a deep impression and makes me want to purchase it.

3.

The colors in this picture are warm, giving me a sense of hope. The girl is looking at the tall pile of books in front of her, and the shadow on the wall just like an astronaut. Maybe that’s the girl’s dream. The picture shows that books could be the guides that lead us to realize our dreams.
